Gaze of our Souls

AW Tozer thought,  ''Faith is the gaze of the soul upon the saving God.''

How beautiful is this..

God led me back to this verse with the song, and this quote.

''Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.'' Hebrews 12:1-3

looking leads to believing.

Indeed, when our eyes of our hearts are looking upon God, light comes into our eyes, fills it up with the Glory, truth and love of Him. Chinese have a saying: ''if it is not appropriate and obscene, don't even look.'' people realized the power of looking…the mere sight can trick you into believing and our eyes automatically pick up signals that imprints into the back of our minds without our knowing.

But if we deeply believe that God is good, and is the best thing we have; we keep on looking upon Him. Because merely gazing upon Him is joy, is what our souls longing for, and is the only way we can start becoming more like Him. Looking upon Him is surrender.

Keeping our eyes on Him, is putting our faith in our Saviour, only Him.

Your love is great. Your love pierces through our eyes as a bright light bringing the life to us.
Dwelling in Your love is our joy, the light of Yours is the trigger of our healing.
Gazing upon You is our true comfort

''Ready at the line looking out,
Looking out to all that's ahead,
When every heart confesses Your name,
We're pressing on towards that day,
 We never gonna stop.

Onwards we draw towards Your light
Desperate to seek to know you more and more
 Further, we look beyond ourselves
 To Your love,
To Your love. ''  – Running,  Hillsong

You are full of wonders
